Join us ...

Join us for an exclusive, week-long yoga retreat and an unforgettable and magical trip to the mystical Marrakech, Morocco.

Spend a week immersing yourself in your yoga practice and at the same time enjoying the vibrant and colorful Moroccan culture. During the week there will be several daily yoga classes and workshops, adventurous excursions, and time for yourself to relax and unwind as you wish.

We will stay at Peacock Pavilionss, a family owned boutique hotel surrounded by a beautiful olive grove at the foot of the Atlas mountains. The yoga classes will soothe and energize your body, mind and soul and you will be dining on delicious, nourishing, and locally prepared vegan food.

Shakti Yoga has created a retreat which combines different forms of yoga practices with the experiences of the rich Moroccan culture. You will also have plenty of time to relax at the pool, go on sightseeing trips on your own, or find a peaceful and serene place to meditate and reflect.

Yoga and Meditation

Your teachers and hosts for the week are Sofia Artola, Marlene Koenig and Tara McCabe.

The classes will primarily be all-level. Other classes will be yin yoga, meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises). The schedule has been carefully thought-out to provide a combination of yoga classes and adventurous exploring day trips to create balance throughout the week.

Who can participate?

This retreat is open to all levels of practitioners. You can opt in or out as you please.

If you want to share this experience with a friend or family member you are welcome to bring him or her – even if the person does not wish to participate in the yoga part of the retreat but prefers to be at the pool.

Climate

In August/September high 80s+ during the day and 60s+ during the night.

We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate. We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again- to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more.
